Trifecta

This weekend's challenge: Explain in, exactly 33 words, why I write.

I write to create or recapture a moment that rings with authenticity. I want readers to feel a little jab, a flash of recognition, and say, “I know him,” or “I was her.”

  1. Nice. I like that. It is nice when you find in the bloggaverse that you relate to so many people or many of us are so much alike.

  6. I love the "jab" and call it a "tug" too. I love when something tugs at some sort of emotion and I'm not particular with what that emotion has to be...it just has to be something for me to connect. Loved this!

  7. I love that moment...that spark...that connection.

  8. Yes. As I read the entries, I see so many reasons to write that ring true for me. Great one!

  9. Perfect! I write to make that connection because I need that. I need to not feel alone. You described it well!

I love the authenticity part - that's a big deal. I like identifying with a character, unless she's half past crazy...then I only claim to have known her :)
