Thursday Thirteen Stuff I Can Do Without

Thirteen Things that THE GAL HERSELF
intends to dispose of

Yes, I am a slob. A packrat. An Oscar, not a Felix. Whatever. At any rate, here are 13 things I really am going to get rid. Soon. I promise.

1) Plastic bags (I have bags of plastic bags)
2) Old mascara
3) Even older pressed powder (a product I do not wear anymore)
4) Half-empty shampoos, conditioners and lotions from various hotels
5) Shoes – the ones I can’t remember the last time I wore
6) ID badges from previous jobs (like in the 1980s)
7) Broken umbrellas
8) Excess gummed address labels I got for free from charities
9) The soy sauce, mayonnaise and relish on the bottom shelf of the frig, which I never use and suspect are all past their expiration dates anyway
10) All those ketchup packets
11) Pens that don’t write
12) Tons of twist ties
13) Size D batteries, which I bought for … shit, I don’t remember.

Hello gal..you were above me on the TT home page.. I am supposed to leave you a meaningful comment..

As I was reading your list, I thought--ooh, that is sooooo me..
We have bags of plastic bags also, except, we have a 3 yr old not potty trained yet, so they make great stinky diaper bags. The hotel shampoo, we take camping. The old mascara and powder have to go... The packets of condiments might come in handy someday. I am such a pen junkie--my brother in law was a drug rep., so we have lots of pens...many without ink. The excess address labels could be used as tape on gift wrapping--no one will ever guess who their present is from? maybe? And the broken umbrellas-- for Gosh sake--throw them out--Surely you have a Dollar Tree Store in Chicago...or....you could use the twist ties to repair the broken umbrellas...And lastly, the name badge's, have a girl's night out, give one to all your friend's to wear, go to all the local bar's, and really confuse all the people you meet that night.

Just rambling... Have a great week. Take Care.. Stop by my blog sometime!

  2. I can relate to the plastic bags of plastic bags. My local megamarket has a recycling bin for plastic bags. Everytime I see the bin, I try to remind myself bring some for next time. It doesn't work though.
