Barack Obama's honeymoon with the local press is over. The Chicago Tribune has reported on Obama's relationship with Tony Rezko, the recently indicted Democratic fundraiser. Next door neighbors, long-time friends, and partners in a real estate deal, Tony Rezko is more than a casual Obama acquaintance. Rezko also doesn't represent the caliber of person voters want to see their new hero linked with. I have no idea how this will play nationally. Or even if it will get any play at all, this close to the mid-term. But I know that as Obama's profile grows, the scrutiny of every area of his life will increase. This story is only the beginning.
