One of my best friends died today at about 10:00 PM. I take some comfort in knowing he lived his life the way he wanted to, and tremendous comfort in the knowledge that now John is happy and whole in Heaven.
These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
So sorry for your loss. Prayers for John, his friends and family.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you got to see him one last time and so so glad that he knew you were there and reveled in it. Thank you for sharing your friend John with us. May he rest peacefully in the Everlasting Now.
