I don't get it

This week Moammar Ghadafi was virtually killed on live TV. The Iraq war ended after almost a decade. And I suspect that none of my coworkers really cared. Not about the graphic news coverage in Libya. Nor about about the troops coming home. Nothing. Life as usual. I find this disturbing.

I think the domestic issues have taken precedence to what's going on overseas. It's kind of hard to celebrate when you can afford a decent bottle of champagne because you are out of work, or have your hours cut.

  2. But no one in this post was out of work because they were all AT work, and rushing to from meetings about whether or not to enter a certain industry award. You can bet if we win, a decent bottle of champagne will be opened. Our priorities at the office still disturb me.

  3. It's also tough to get my students to care. I don't know how to inspire them, although I try. I really get what your post is about.
