These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
I did not stop thinking about you last night at all during all the fireworks going off around here, and my Facebook page blowing up at the end of the game. Congrats to you and your Cubbies, and best wishes for the Series. (I live with a Clevelander, so it's going to be complicated around here for awhile...lol)
After my dad and brother, I thought of you. I'll be 65 a week from Tuesday so I've never seen this. My dad was almost 89 and never saw them win. Congrats, enjoy!
Duty's been monitoring the progress and dutifully (!!) reporting it to me. "Bet your Chicago Pal is happy tonight" he said. Duty, you don't know the half of it. Happy ain't a strong enough word! :)
Congrats! Maybe this will help redeem your craptastic 2016! Fingers crossed!
Please note: If you have a WordPress blog, I can't return the favor and comment on your post unless you change your settings. WordPress hates me these days.
