As of this morning, the Cubs are SIX GAMES ahead of the Brewers and 8.5 games up on the Cards. And it's mid-August! When I look at these standings, I'm reminded of a Dusty Springfield song, "I close my eyes, I count to ten, and when I open them you're still here." Only when I close MY eyes and count to ten, I open them and the Cubs are still at the top of the division.Hey, hey, holy mackerel, no doubt about it.
