From The Presidents Club by Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy, page 265 ...
"I believe you should keep your troubles to yourself," Nixon would say. He could not have been more different than Johnson, the man who could not stand to be alone, or Kennedy with his large family and adoring disciples, or Ike with his many comrades.
That is an interesting comparison. Sounds like a book to check out.
ReplyDeleteHere's my teaser.
Sounds interesting. The president's sure do/did have a variety of personalities. My teasers this week come from Fortune's Pawn by Rachel Bach and The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteSerious reading. I like the tease. Here is mine and Mine .
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this book--although I did skip around a bit rather than reading it straight through. Good pick for your teaser this week!
ReplyDeleteIs this historical fiction? Or nonfiction? Regardless, it sounds like an interesting book.
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser today is from THE FUNERAL DRESS.
Very very good choice of lines! Excellent.
