My beloved, future Hall of Famer and four-time Cy Young award winner Greg Maddux, has signed with the Padres. To tell you the truth, I didn't really care where he ended up. I just wasn't ready to face a Maddux-free baseball season. I suppose that since he is 40 and it is only a one-year contract, I must begin preparing myself for the inevitable.
But not today. Today he has a team, I have digital cable, and we have another summer to enjoy together.
