Sunday Stealing

STOLEN FROM NED THE DUCK

Name Your Favorite…

Place: The Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field

The good ol' days, when Rizz was here where he belongs

Color: Pantone 294, aka Cubbie blue

Smell: I'm partial to cinnamon

Magazine: Online, I like The Athletic. In print, I like Vanity Fair.

Texture: I like leaves. I touch them gently as I pass leafy bushes.

Thing to do when bored: This.

Precious stone: Are pearls a precious stone?

Animal: I'm a crazy cat lady. This meme made me miss my noisy little man, Reynaldo. Though his operetta would be called, It's Morning Because I Say So.

Time in history: The 60s. 1860s or 1960s. Fascinated by them both.

Font: Just about anything but courier.

Sound: A cat's purr

Fruit: It changes: sometime apples, sometimes peaches. I like the taste of banana in smoothies.

Vegetable: Peas.

Store/shop: Target.

Quote:

Historical figure: John F. Kennedy (the President, not John N. Kennedy, the unfortunately named Louisiana Senator)

Letter:  I find the capital L and E are the most fun to write in cursive

Memory: It makes me happy to remember taking my nephew to his first MLB game. Now he's a baseball writer!

Dessert: I'll have something chocolate.

Candy: I'll have something chocolate.

Restaurant: There's a deli around the corner I long to return to. They have a really good smoked turkey sandwich.

Language: English, because it's the one I know.

Thing to learn about: Presidents and First Ladies

Thing about yourself: I am a good friend.

  1. The last one is very important. Why didn't I mention I am a good and loyal friend too?

  2. I was nodding along with your answers--and the last one is something that I need to improve upon. You're my friendship goals inspiration.

  4. Wrigley Field...I never would have guessed that or Cubbie blue. ;) We can agree on chocolate, but not peas. I've hated the smell of them since I worked at the nursing home and canned, mushy peas seemed to be the kitchen's favorite vegetable. I will never know why...unless they got a great deal on industrial sized cans. They smelled bad and you can't imagine all the places they turned up in the memory care unit. Ugh.
If you missed my reply on my blog yesterday, Jasper is doing well. He seems to love my daughter and her husband and snuggles with them at night (when the kids are in bed) but otherwise still isn't the most friendly or cuddly cat. He's still naughty, though, and my daughter has started calling him the same thing I did, Turd! He clears off the mantle on a regular basis and has broken more than one thing. His worst damage to date...he knocked over and shattered the screen of a flat-screen TV.
