Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it
"What man has done, man can do."
It could be a Chinese proverb or a quote by an American Colonist or maybe some Russian. Whatever. I still think it's very wise. I try to remember it when I feel myself becoming daunted.
These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
What a neat quote!
ReplyDeleteVery cerebral. Great quote. Mine are a little more....earthy, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI like it. It's simple, yet true.
ReplyDeleteMine is "What a piece of work is Man! How noble in Reason! How infinite in Faculty! In form and moving how express and admirable! In action how like an Angel! In apprehension how like a God! The beauty of the World! The paragon of Animals!"
Much wordier, I'm afraid.
