"This is a big fucking deal."
-- A jazzed up Joe Biden to Barack Obama at the signing of the historic health care reform bill. The veep introduced the president to the excited crowd at the White House and leaned in to congratulate him -- without remembering that the microphone was live.

UPDATE: White House press secretary Robert Gibbs weighed in on his Twitter page, declaring: "And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right..."
Hahahahaha... Biden is such a real person.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course the expletive made headlines. He'll have to explain himself to half of America now.
ReplyDeleteIt will be more of a deal than the deal!
**I canNOT believe my word verification is CUSSecoo**
That made me laugh. He's definitely "real" (So is Obama and THANK GOD it was not he who said it because he would never, EVER live it down!). It was all the rage on the Twitter machine yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWhen I watched it live on CNN, I couldn't hear what he said to Obama at all (and I strained to try, because I'm nosy and delightfully aware of Joe's awesome gaffes) but now I've heard it and I LOVE IT! Truer words were never spoken.
ReplyDeleteI agree...that "gaffe" was what made me like the guy even more. Heh.
