Friday's Feast #23

Appetizer
What was your first “real” job? A secretary (we were called "secretaries" back then) in the Newspaper Advertising Dept. at Sears Corporate Office in Sears Tower.

Soup
Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity? The tub. I seem to get my best ideas while I'm bathing or showering, and can't write them down!

Salad
Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when my stomach growls during a meeting.

Main Course
What values did your parents instill in you? I learned from my mom that pets are members of our family, too, and must be treated with love and respect.

Dessert
Name 3 fads from your teenage years. (1) TV was dominated by cheesey variety shows -- Donny & Marie, Sonny & Cher, Tony Orlando & Dawn; (2) Girls wore their hair long, straight, and parted down the middle; (3) CB radios

  6. I can relate to your soup. I would be driving when the muse strikes me upside the head and I would try to hold on to that creative spark until I can safely write it down. I even bought a little cassette player for those inconveniently-placed creativity, but it was poorly made; besides, the flow of creative thought gets cut off and it just loses something, and I would wonder what the heck I was thinking.

I wore my hair very long and straight and parted in the middle when I was a teen. LOL! That and the tie-dyes, fringed vest, platform shoes and bellbottoms. Good grief. Thanks for a great feast!

Not quite my teenage years, but I remember those things. I especially enjoyed the variety shows!

  8. I watched those cheesy variety shows...Tony Orlando & Dawn, Sonny & Cher....I Got You Babe....and my hair looks like that now except this strange waviness I must have gotten from hubby when I had his children. Loved your feast!!!!

Interesting meme. A lot of times creativity sparks when I'm doing mundane chores like washing the dishes or folding laundry. Why can't it be when I'm sitting in front of the computer. ;-)

And LOL on those teenage years. I'd forgotten about those cheesy shows. And the CB radio, wow does that bring back memories of Smoky and the Bandit, BJ and the Bear etc.
