My first time playing this meme.
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
From W is for Wasted, by Sue Grafton (page 12):
I'd owned it for a year, and while I was no longer smitten with it, I was reconciled to Mustang ownership until the next kick-ass miscreant had a go at me. I figured I was just about due.
These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
I used to LOVE that series! I think I stopped around "M" . . .
ReplyDeleteHey, I haven't seen you around in ages. How are you?
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser. Please check out my teaser.
I need to pick up this series again. I think I left off with P is for Peril.
ReplyDeleteAwesome teaser. I only read a couple of the early books in this series, but did like them. Perhaps some day when I'm feeling ambitious I'll try to get through the entire alphabet. ;) My teaser: Saint’s Gate
ReplyDeleteI've read a few of the alphabet mysteries but not this one. Guess I should start at "A" and move through the alphabet!
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser is from AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
Intriguing title, LOL! I am between books right now, but maybe I will try this meme next week!
