Day 9 :: Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted
I have a completely adorable friend who I haven't heard from in a year. And shame on me! For a guy who is such a guy (100% Oscar without a touch a Felix), he is so sweet and thoughtful. His birthday is coming up and I am going to celebrate it with a card and a call/email. So help me God.
These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
What a great opportunity to get back in touch. I have a lunch buddy--for years we met monthly, then she got married and we stopped the tradition. I bumped into her recently and it felt like home.
ReplyDeleteAwww .... that's sweet. And yes, a good opportunity to get back in touch. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you're doing this, and sharing it with us. Such thought-provoking prompts. And yes, you should get back in touch with your friend.Even Oscar liked that people remembered his birthday.
