These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.

I feel soooo virtuous
I worked out today! Even though it's cold and I'm still a little congested and weak as a kitten. I did 15 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the stationery bike, 16 reps on the chest press, and some leg lifts. I may be sickly, but I have my eyes on the prize. I WILL work out 13 times in January! (I've also been pretty good about avoiding candy.)

Oh wow, that's pretty terrific. I probably would never work out when I was still battling a cold.
ReplyDeleteYou go, Gal!
ReplyDeleteChest presses?? You are fierce!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed. I walk with weights (an hour a day) and sit ups, leg lifts...but chest presses? I think not. I am impressed! Bwaahhaahhaa
Way to go, Gal, on sticking to your goals! I hope you're back to feeling your old self in no time!! (respiratory exercises + congestion = no fun, for sure!!)
ReplyDeleteWow, good for you. That's great. Wish I had your motivation.
