These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
Nice. I like that. It is nice when you find in the bloggaverse that you relate to so many people or many of us are so much alike.
ReplyDeleteDon't we all wish!
ReplyDeleteauthenticty - that is a great word for it!
ReplyDeleteYes! YES!
ReplyDeleteI love that feeling! I definitely always wish to convey the same to my readers. (:
ReplyDeleteI love this. Authenticity is one of my favorite qualities.
ReplyDeleteI love the "jab" and call it a "tug" too. I love when something tugs at some sort of emotion and I'm not particular with what that emotion has to be...it just has to be something for me to connect. Loved this!
ReplyDeleteI love that moment...that spark...that connection.
ReplyDeleteYes. As I read the entries, I see so many reasons to write that ring true for me. Great one!
ReplyDeletePerfect! I write to make that connection because I need that. I need to not feel alone. You described it well!
ReplyDeleteI love the authenticity part - that's a big deal. I like identifying with a character, unless she's half past crazy...then I only claim to have known her :)
