These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.

My poor Mom
She had to put her cat to sleep yesterday. Now, for the first time ever, she is completely alone in her house. She is bereft. I wish there was something I could do to help her, but there isn't.
Losing a pet is losing a friend. It's a journey to get through it. She's in my thoughts and prayers.

In mine too! We said goodbye to our dear, darling Lab 4 weeks ago at the age of 14 and we're still believing she's still here today. It saddens me that you're mom is alone! Prayers said!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so sad!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry. I know how that feels and it is totally like losing a friend.
ReplyDeleteYou can always give her Rey! (hahah I know. I know.)
so very sorry !! will she get another pet?
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this. It will be hard for her. I'm not a pet person (except peace blogging cats!) but I know people who consider their pets as family. She will have an adjustment for sure.
