Trifecta

This weekend's challenge: Write a story entitled 'Lost' in exactly 33 words. The word 'lost' can only appear in the title, not your 33 words.

Lost

No Charlotte under the bed. As she chose today’s outfit, did Charlotte sneak into the armoire? After all, nothing enhances a nap like cashmere. Still no Charlotte. Come on, girlfriend! Where are you

  1. Cat or child? At first I thought child (my natural inclination as a mom of a 3 year old), but now I'm thinking cat. Either case, I hope Charlotte is found!

  2. I thought child first too - probably because mine has taken to sleeping in unusual places lately. But I can just imagine a cat balled up in a nest of opposite color cashmere (the better to display shedding fur).

  3. perhaps a cat, but I'm thinking child. My daughters used to hide and, even in a small house, eluded the finding for many minutes/much time. 'course, I am not owned by cats, so what do I know? :)

  4. I vote for a cat from clues on your web-site. Questions about writing are always good. (now I am so reluctant to use !)

  7. I think it's the lovely black kitty pictured on the blog's right column. Loved this especially because my mother's name was Charlotte! Nicely done. Amy

  8. I'm voting little girl. It seems like this is a daily ritual when she says "today"

  9. I am thinking cat too. My boy likes to hide in my clothing for his naps! Very nice piece.

  10. I also wondered if Charlotte was a cat. Mine have been lost in our house before.

  11. You've started a huge debate there, One Gal! Seems like the votes for the cat have it..

I enjoyed this little piece. Thanks for linking up and see you for the weekday challenge.

  12. I locked my cat in my recliner once on accident, check the furniture!
    I enjoyed this. :))

  13. I like cat! Very cute. My kitten hid in the underlining of a club chair once. Had a heck of a time finding her until she purred.
