My first gift has rolled in. This poetry book arrived, a gift from my cousin Rose. I haven't read poetry in decades, but I will read this.
God, I love my bday!
These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
Aren't birthdays the best? I hope yours is fun and full of nice surprises.
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday! Let the celebration last. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, Happy Birthday, Gal! (Been a long time since I've been in the blog-shere, am just startin' to get back in the swing of things, and I saw this post on my little feed...)
ReplyDeleteHope all is well in your corner of the world! Blessings on your special day, and may it usher in a year full of laughter, happiness and good health!
