Yesterday we attended a scintillating forum devoted to the ins and outs of reverse (yawn) mortgages. On the way there, she asked me if I liked living alone. Without hesitation, I said yes. She hates it.
It became obvious that she feels that since we are both alone, we should do more things together. Like dinner, movies, theater, and picking up men. This is the woman who feels that, with the right clothes and makeup and hair, I may actually get laid again some day. I didn't like where this conversation was going.
She seems to want us to enroll in eHarmony together.
I have no issue with eHarmony. I believe it works for many people. I just don't feel like it. And if I did, I'd do it alone. I know it's old-fashioned, but this gal still believes dating should be a one-on-one activity.
