My best friend understands how self-involved he has been and he freely said he's sorry. Gulp! This is big. This is an important moment in our 8 year friendship.
I am impressed by his capacity to change. He is a good man.
These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
Oh good! I'm happy for you because I read all your posts about him and feel like I know his demeanor a smudge by now. You're a good friend to him, Gal!
ReplyDeleteBut I hate when I write someone a very thought out, longish e-mail and I get only a few words back.
I'm glad he did. He always does eventually but I hope he gets to a point where there's no need for that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about his job loss. Wishing him luck as he seeks a new position.
