Thursday Thirteen #386

Millennials and their money. Last week I looked at products those born between 1981 and 1996 are not buying. Here are 13 goods and services the young-uns are willing to spend on, and spend more than other demographic groups:

1. Air fryers

2. Crypto and NFTs

3. Entertainment subscriptions (Netflix)

4. Espresso machines

5. Fitness trackers

6. Indoor plants

7. Luggage

8. Wellness apps (Calm)

9. Wine

10. The latest model smartphones

11. Subscription boxes (Hello Fresh)

12. Thrift store clothes and decor

13. Vape accessories

  1. I confess I have streaming services and wellness apps (I LOVE Calm).

  2. Very interesting and informative list. My 28 year old son spends money on stuff I would never dream of buying - like meals delivered by door dash! Then he complains he just doesn't have enough money. So frustrating.

  3. Vape... sigh... I actually got a Calm subscription via my health insurance. And I've never once looked at the app after installing it. If I had to pay for it, I'd delete it.

  4. The vape stuff is bad. I have a combination toaster/air fryer and do not see the appeal.
