"What place do you consider your home?"
I feel I'm home in my neighborhood. I first visited here on a shopping trip when I was in high school and just fell in love with the diversity and the architecture. We have good restaurants and a great art deco movie theater. There's a thriving independent bookstore and three library branches! My GP and dentist are here, too, and so's the vet. I can get to the Loop by el or commuter train, and I can get around town by local bus.
When I think of moving, I like to think of staying here.

I love hearing about living in cities. The idea of taking a train or a bus somewhere is so outside my personal experience that it seems very glamorous!
ReplyDeleteYour neighborhood is what I always envisioned living in "the city" to be like. Hustle and bustle but homey.
