These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.

Getting ready for goodbye
PBS Prime has been running Downton Abbey again from the beginning, and I've been watching, transfixed. It's the run-up to tomorrow's final season premiere. Sniffle, sniffle. I'm sad to see the Crawley saga come to an end.
It's been another day wasted, though. I went out for breakfast and tried eating a real meal. (So far, so good.) Then I watched some Downton, took a nap, did laundry, watched more Downton ... I believe I'd feel better about my life if I did something to clean this place up. And commiserating with Lady Mary isn't helping me accomplish that.
I've been going back and forth about "staying up" to watch the broadcast or saving it for tomorrow after school. First day back from vacation is tough enough without being overtired. When did 9 o'clock become late for me??
ReplyDeleteMy series 6 copy arrives near the end of the month. I'm thinking of binge watching the first five before then, but probably won't as its a physical impossibility!
