These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.
Twenty months will grind inexorably by until
it brings us to the next shared moment in our sad saga – and when Sam is
released from prison, I’ll be there, waiting at the gate.

I know the ending isn't supposed to be the teaser, but I definitely would like to read the story. Very well done and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm left with a whole bunch of questions about these two. If I just knew how they got where the ended...give it up Gal!
ReplyDeleteAww. Yep. That's a great ending. Of book ONE. :)
ReplyDeleteThat was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh I want to know what who's serving time for what. Good job.
ReplyDeleteNice one! I would hope another book would follow this ending.
ReplyDeleteThat surely leads to believe me that another beautiful story is about to begin.
ReplyDeleteI think this was the ending to a pretty interesting book! :D
ReplyDeleteNice job, could see this spawning another book.
ReplyDeleteI always like an ending to be hopeful and upbeat, which this one certainly is.
ReplyDeleteI like how you ended this with a whole lot of questions. Is there a sequel coming? Great job with the prompt.
