These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.

Scott Brown is a dish
It's appalling to me that Ted Kennedy's Senate seat, once held by his brother and a Democratic stronghold since before I was born, has gone Republican. Especially now, when healthcare is on the line.
Scott Brown is, however, now the first US Senator I've seen naked. And it's been my distinct pleasure.
As I consider his new colleagues, I now hope he's the last Senator I see naked, too.
I think that's the real reason he got elected. I was really disappointed by the outcome, but dayum! He's nice on the eyes. Or at least was-a few decades ago.
ReplyDeleteMartha really effed up her campaign out here. She considered things a slam dunk and took it easy. When she realized her opponent was actually making headway, she had to scramble. She looked incredibly desperate the final week - which she was. She ran negative ads which Brown avoided - a la Obama's campaign. Turned a lot of undecided and undeclared voters here his way. Not mine, but many. Plus, he's attractive and his daughter was on Idol. So there you go.
ReplyDelete*sigh* I wonder how many voted for his bod.
