These are the thoughts and observations of me — a woman of a certain age. (Oh, my, God, I'm 65!) I'm single. I'm successful enough (independent, self supporting). I live just outside Chicago, the best city in the world. I'm an aunt and a friend. I feel that voices like mine are rather underrepresented online or in print. So here I am. If my musings resonate with you, please visit my blog again sometime.

I worry about this
It's almost midnight, and I'm still getting emails from my best friend. Something went very wrong on one of his projects last week. He was on the road, so I don't see how it can be his fault. But it was his client and his project. If the client decides to walk, it may put his job in jeopardy. Staying up and worrying about it NOW won't help, but I understand why he's so upset.
What a bum wrap! No, worrying doesn't help, but sometimes we can't help ourselves; I do hope it all turns out okay for him. No one should be punished for another's missteps.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! Doesn't it suck when stuff happens that you (or he) had no control over? It makes one feel so helpless. Hold a good thought for him and trust that it will work out as it needs to.
ReplyDeleteAlways hanging in the woo-woo, I am. :)
Sorry to hear the troubles. Life takes weird turns sometimes. You are a good friend but worrying isn't going to help. Trust me!
ReplyDeleteSending good vibes and thoughts to him and his situation.
