Suddenly, at about 5:00 today, my mood fell through the floor. The IT guys accidentally deleted my Lotus Notes archives, and I was inconsolable. John Mayer is being less than chivalrous to Jennifer Aniston and I welled up. My best friend is going away for the weekend with his family and will be incommunicado between now and Monday night, and I'm desolate.
I'm a hormone hostage. Perimenopause, menopause … whatever. It's a stupid waste of time, energy and emotion.
I've popped a Xanax and am telling myself that this isn't real, that it will pass. But I hate it. I really hate it.
((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
ReplyDeleteI sometimes pop a xanax thinking "this too shall pass". I'm sorry for the loss of your notes. Hang in there!!!
Poor Jennifer, she truly is unlucky in love. Do you think she throws things at the tv when Brad is on? I would....
ReplyDeleteCan the it guys go to a previous back up to get some of your notes??
Okay, it's Friday, this post is from yesterday. I think you should go for a walk, a really long one and get those endophins to kick in. Then tomorrow morning, find a farmers' market ( or as I call it, fahmars mahket) but some fresh overly priced stuff and then find the homemade pastries. Get yourself a cup of coffee, eat your pastry and people watch. After a 1/2 hour of watching other people, you might just realize that there are a few people in the world that you wouldn't trade places with!!
I am spazzing here, the people coming over for dinner tonight are living in a comfort inn for 2 weeks with three kids. She asked me this morning if I knew of any housecleaning services for when they move in...and I am thinking, oh crap, my house needs it's own top to bottom cleaning. Can you hop on a plane and come over and help me clean????
Oh, thank you ladies! It was so sweet for you to leap to my aid and offer suggestions. It's such a relief to be able to tell my blog everything and get support, not judgment. Again, thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jen, thank you so much for offering to help me get passed this doing your housework! You have quite a bit of Tom Sawyer in you, don't you?
I totally understand. I can be just going along fine and for NO reason whatsoever, the bottom will drop out and I am in a ditch. I hate that. Dag.
ReplyDeleteGlad your friends pulled you out even a little bit. When I went through a crisis, I posted it on Snarkypants and my friends were so nice about it. It made me feel loved (even if it was just virtual!).
Keep doggy paddling and soon your water-wings will carry you aloft! (That didn't make sense but it's what came out my fingers so I'm going with it.)
Have a good weekend!
Lisa
Oh, I hate the bottomless, hollow feeling. I hope this is much better soon! Were the IT guys able to fix it?
