This shelter performed valiantly during and after Katrina and is preparing to the same for residents during Gustav. It's a cruel twist of fate that they are called upon to protect homeless, abandoned and lost pets during a natural disaster again so soon. They are now closed to the public and hard at work evacuating all the critters currently in their care.
