Who is your favorite Beatle? James Paul McCartney, who has a birthday tomorrow.
What is one of your favorite Beatle songs? Depends on my mood, but these days I lean toward "I Will" from The White Album.
Best/Worst cover of a Beatles song. This is easy! Best: I loved Chikeezie (sp?) and his totally original, soulful rendition of "She's a Woman" on American Idol; Worst: Barry Manilow singing "Yesterday."
Best song by a Beatle after the breakup. Oooh, this is hard! A toss up between "Watching the Wheels" by John (Double Fantasy) and "My Brave Face" by Paul (Flowers in the Dirt).

"My Brave Face" is one of my favorite solo Beatle tunes. That album (Flowers In the Dirt) had some other good ones too, like "This One" and "Figure of Eight". I haven't played "My Brave Face" on my show in awhile, I think I might dust it off this Friday.

ReplyDeleteI'm definitely crazy about Paul, too! But George always looks a little "darker" to me! More mysterious! Ha...I was always drawn to that type! :)
Oh I'm so glad to see someone picking solo material from the 80s!! Flowers In The Dirt was one of my favorite Macca albums and that song was co-written with my favorite songwriter, Elvis Costello :)
