Today at lunch I saw "the police, who investigate crime" in action. Apparently evil was done at my McDonald's. One of Chicago's finest strode in, went behind the counter and, before the curious gaze of the lunch crowd, made his way to the office where he had a brief but intense conversation with the manager and a young Hispanic female civilian (meaning she wore neither a McDonald's nor a CPD uniform). My guess is that either another customer grabbed her purse or harassed her in some way. (Since the cop came alone, it couldn't have been anything that put our lives in imminent danger.)
I hope the girl is OK. She really looked rattled. And I hope that when Dick Wolf rips this story from today's headlines, I approve of the extra who portrays me.
I am such a L&O addict that, I kind you not, I am watching it right now on TNT. I hate time of day when there is not either an original or a SVU on some channel. How do you feel about L&O: CI?
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE L&O! I'm thrilled that this year Jack McCoy will be promoted to Arthur's job. And I love SVU, now that Olivia is back. CI? Not so much, unless Logan is on.
ReplyDeleteI get to see that stuff right next door...
ReplyDeleteSee.. this is why I always use the drive-thru :)
ReplyDeleteI have a high school friend who has a recurring role on L&O as a techie specialist... it's such a kick to see/hear him on there!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Dick Wolfe will choose you to be you.
Kwiz, those shows are rerun ALL THE TIME! Do you suppose your friend gets a residual check every time it airs? The only thing cooler than being on L&O would be to be paid for being on L&O!
