Every day I am going to do something -- no matter how small -- to improve my standard of living at home.
OK, technically speaking it's Thursday. But I'm posting this before going to bed on Wednesday so I feel it counts. Especially because I crashed on the sofa at 9:30 and awoke at 12:30. Instead of going to bed right away, watching TV and flipping through magazines and cursing myself for wasting three hours snoring on the sofa, I went into the kitchen and went through the silverware drawer.
What's in my silverware drawer that can be organized or thrown away? Tons of handwipes and plastic cutlery that accompanied my carryout (usually from Mickey's Gyros and Ribs). So now most of them are are in the now-sealed padded envelope -- along with toiletries -- for the soldiers through Operation Shoebox. (If you'd like to send a package to our troops, click here for their wish list.)
Now that my silverware drawer can open and close easily, I can award myself the coveted broom and dustbin and turn in for the night.
